What is Skype?
Skype is free video or voice calls that one can make all over the world. Video calls are completely free and you can make calls to land-lines for really cheap. Be on the lookout for some of Skpe's free offers. The first month I was in Japan, I was able to contact land lines for free with a trial period. This came in handy on the occasion that I needed to contact a business (like an airline or post office) and I did not have a cell phone. I personally loved the free video calls because 1. I love free and 2. I was able to see my family, friends, and boyfriend. International calls are very cheap though, and beat any international plan Sprint or Verizon try to sell you. Skype also has an app so you can make video calls from your cell phone as well.
